You might have hit a stall which would explain not losing any more. But not having a bowel movement is serious and could possibly explain a weight gain. Try colace or your choice or laxative and if you still don't have a normal bowel movement in 3 more days, call your doctor.

Ugh, I hear you on the poop issues. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out a system to keep constipation at bay in the early months.

I took Benefibre in my morning shakes and drank LOTS of water. Going 7 days without a poop is pretty long (and am assuming very uncomfortable!). Milk of Magnesia usually helped me if I hit 3-4 days poop-less, and if it went beyond that I'd use a glycerine suppository.

Re: those 5 lbs, its likely the majority of this is all the retained "stuff" in your colon. I have been known to drop 3 lbs after an especially large poop.

Good Luck!

I found that I was over doing the iron, which caused constipation. Once I lowered my dose (currently at 0), my constipation issues mostly went away!

Ugh, feel your frustration! Is your Linzess dose right for you? After trying everything under the sun to get regular, I started Linzess last month. We started me on the middle dose and it was too strong...diarrhea every day. Have been on lowest dose past week and seems better. Stools are formed and moving. For me Linzess seems to be “an answer” but correct dose is key. Good luck...it’s not fun.

Linzess comes in 72, 145 and 290mcg. You may need a dose up?
