December 22nd...but they are starting to suspend elective surgeries at some of the hospitals in the surrounding areas, so it’s not looking good ☹️.

Dec 15 Gastric Sleeve~ I’m so excited and nervous. I start the preop diet this Thursday.

So I had my final consult before the pre-operation consult. She wants me to lose a little more weight than I have because I have a fatty liver. I also have one more test that fell through the cracks on the ordering side, so hopefully I can get that done swiftly. Then they will be submitting to insurance, which I was told our insurance will be 7-10 business days for a turn around response. It’s still possible I could have my surgery in late December, but it might be January. Fingers crossed!

Do you have to meet your provider before having surgery? Quick question

I do! I don’t know if this was directed at me or just a general question, so I just wanted to let you know!

I have my procedure on Dec 8th. We're not that far off from one another. I'm anxiously rushing to get things done around the house before i'm restricted. It doesn't help that the pre-op diet and finals are all happening at the same time. The more support to have the better. I'm here.

I just had mine on the 3rd, came home today, had the mini bypass and the incision sites (5 in total) are rather tender, but the gas is unbelievably painful, but I it does shift in small doses, it would probably shift more if I didn't have limited mobility

Did they recommend Gas-X or anything like that? That was on my pre-op shopping list then gave me. I am not sure how soon post-op I can take it.

Thanks. I'll look into those as well. Gas pains is something that I had a few serious bouts of as a kid that have stuck with me. Causing me some nervousness with post -op gas.

December 17th so long as COVID doesn’t get in the way! (Band to bypass)
