I'm wondering what amount of vit D3, B12 and calcium citrate people were told to take daily for life? And how often do you get labs done? Thanks.

I'll leave it up to a sleever to give you the amounts (although some of that may depend on your surgeon - as well as what your labs look like), but as far as frequency of labs go, I had them every three months the first year, and then annually after that. Although if something is trending in a negative direction in my annual labwork, then they adjust my supplement dose and re-test that particular item 2-3 months later.

I took a good quality women’s multi Vitamin & D3 recommended by my dietician (the brand, Bioceuticals, is stored behind the counter at the pharmacy where the better stuff is kept - well at least it is in Australia). I was getting labs done about every two months to begin & then every three. I also had a couple of monthly tests too. My GP & surgical team would alternate their requests. Some of that came from concerns about my liver function - it’s all good now.

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!

      Today was rough...
I've been experiencing a headache all day today that just won't go away. I'm thinking it's now progressing into a migraine. Does anyone else get headaches from taking vitamin B12? I did some research and learned that usually a lack of B12 causes headaches. But I've noticed when I take it, I have reoccurring headaches. 😫
