I was cleared to do pretty much everything except for weights at four weeks out (although walking I could do right away, of course...)

p.s. I had to wait eight weeks before doing weights.

I was cleared for light cardio 4 weeks and full game on Cross fit and weights at 12 weeks- Good choice you will shred the pounds and get tighter as you are losing weight.

As usual, every surgeon's recommendation is different and a lot of it will depend on you personally.

I was allowed back to gym and lifting weights at my two week appt but I was fairly fit prior to surgery. And had a very easy RNY with no pain or complications.

I would definitely defer to your surgeon as every individual is different.

But hey in the meantime you can walk your tushy off.
