I don’t have hardware but I have had a failed back surgery. I am bone on bone at L3/L4 i had a severe increase in pain at that area post bypass. They hang you upside down on a table during surger

Seriously? Wow. I just thought it’s because I’ve been sleeping in the recliner instead of on my side. Hmmm I’ll ask Tuesday.

Yes you aren’t completely upside down but tilted towards being upside down. Gravity helps to move and keep organs out of the way.

Anyone else out there have permanent equipment in their body? Screws, rods, etc? I had bypass 1/27 and with preop diet and surgery I’ve lost 31# since Dec 26. This morning I woke up and the titanium rod I have in my back was sore- much like when I first got it. It’s been sore all day! I’m going to mention it at my 1 week check up Tues but I thought I’d ask here if anyone has had similar pain. It’s almost like it’s moved and scar tissue hasn’t formed around it ... anyway, just checking....
