Hello January Banders.

All is well since the 10th of Jan. It is almost a month and doing great here. I did sign up for a fill for Feb. 21 but not sure if I will need to go. As of now I am okay just did not want to have to wait if I do need to go come six weeks out.

Just checking with everyone and wishing everyone well.

Folks are forever saying they need fills, begging for fills,

but I seem to be at a good pace. We've been in such a

deep freeze, I haven't walked much yet.

On Jan 28, at the WLS dept I weighed 226.

When I weigh in Feb 13, I'm sure I'll be in the teens.

I'm doing a LapBand/healthy (diabetes) LowCarb combo.

I have to remind myself to eat and then I eat very little.

But it's great, I feel fine, food just doesn't appeal to me much.

All my food slides down just fine. Poop sure stays loose

I'm thinking the Splenda has an effect on me.

It's like when they did the surgery they cut the chord

that was constantly ringing my dinner bell. So far, my

food obession has just diappeared, it's such a blessing.

My nephew(8 years old) whispered to my sister when I got home from the hospital and said she doesn't look skinnier. He then came and said to my face, and I asked him why. He said he thought they were going to cut all the fat off me and I would come home skinny.

What do they say "beauty in the eyes of the beholder" Must be the same for skinny. One week out I returned to hospital for a class and my nurse came up and gave me a big hug and said " you look great no more chipmunk cheeks" That truly made my day.

I have not weighed myself yet but return on 2/15 for doctor discharge and will be weighed then andam hoping to ave lost at least some. Hunger is non existing, just never feel hungry it is like some one disconnected the mesage going to the brain.

I have decided I will be eating appetizers for the rest of my life. I have managed to get my protein up to 50 grams / day and am still aiming for 60 grams.
