Well! It is official. I had my surgeon appointment today and I am getting banded the 2nd! I am so excited I can hardly stand it! And the countdown begins.....lol

hello,january people what is the name of this group. i was in december with the merry losers but now my date is january.

How funny brez. I was with the Happy New Year crew, and then my surgery was changed to December 31. I am now an honorary member here because I will be in the hospital from December 2007 to New Years 2008 so I am member of both groups. I was with these guys from my first days here, which is why I am more comfortable.

It seems to be the trend that each month gives themselves a name. I don't think we made an official one for ourselves. I think I'll start a thread and then we'll make a poll of the suggestions maybe.

I just had my consultation on Thursday, December 13 and have set a date for January 17, 2008. I am so excited to be finally on the road. I can't wait.:clap2:

I just found this thread! There's another that's similar that I was a part of. How exciting that so many of us are scheduled in January!!

Chrisann -- I think I actually responded to another comment of yours on another thread. I had no idea you were having it done at NYU! So sorry to hear about the fiasco going on there. Who's your doctor? I'm scheduled for the 7th...but I think you already knew that according to a previous comment. I hope it's smooth sailing for me. I have the same issue. My mom is flying in to be with me for the surgery and after...if they switch it up on me, I'll be calling you for back up!! Cause I'm not good at leaving mean messages. heehee.

Hope you are getting excited...the 31st will be here before you know it!

Well, I tell you, being mean is not my personality, but the call I got the next day, I took my brow beating, don't shoot the messenger, etc, but they moved awfully swiftly to get me a date.

My doctor is Christine Ren. Under the last resort I would have switched hospitals, as I am not fond of Dr. Kurian, and Dr. Fielding was as booked up as Dr. Ren.

I am so much more comfortable here since I have been posting with January people so they made me an honorary member.

My date was set for January 14th. My surgeon is trying to squeeze me in for January 2nd, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the earlier date.

I should know next week what my exact date is. I sitll hope for the 2nd as my husband is off work that week, and we can send the kids to my Mom's house for a few days.
