I love Daily Plate also. :thumbup:I try to make good choices all day, but it helps to see when I am behind on my Protein or had more carbs then I thought during the day. Plus, i have never eaten nything, and I men anything, tht Daaily Plate didn;t have in its encyclopedia of food. So, it is very handy.

I lost 25 lbs. my first 4 weeks. Haven't gained anything back yet, but have been really cautious about moving back on to real food. I am a little overwhelmed today for some reason. I have 60 pounds to go, and it seems like a duanting task. I suppose that is :thumbup: normal.

I feel your pain! I am only 4 weeks out- and all of a sudden I have hit the wall. I am having a hard time. I think it is only out of will at this point that I keep to the rules. How many calories are you eating each day? Are you still losing weight?

I was banded by Dr. Nunn. He does a very good job and very thorough. He used to office out of Harper, but now is out of Barix in Yipsilanti.

I feel better reading this, too. I banded on 1/16 and have lost 22 lbs fast, then nothing. It is crazy to think about adding caolries (though I need to) when I am not losing weight now. But, I realize tis is what happens to everyone. Very stressful, though.

Well. I started out as January 2nd, then was moved to January 14th. Now, moved to January 16th. Hopefully this is the last move!! A little nervous, but DH seems to think it is no big deal. :welldoneclap:

I had so many last meals. My husband and I went to all of my fav places- Melting Pot, Olive Garden, Mc Ds, etc etc. I knew I would never enjoy them again like that. Do I wish i had used that time to lose some wieght- probably. Do I regret it- not really.

I feel like you do. I am only a little way out, but am doing well on all liquid. I have a feelng I won't be in any hurry to move forward onto something else. Congrats on your weight loss and diabetes. My blood pressure has gone way down- whew!

Thanks Loseweightin08- It was just an issue where my doctor usually puts in a pain pump, but didn't for me but also didn't tell the recovery nurses or note it on my chart. I was in so much pain I was crying in recovery and no one could find him to ask what I could have. But, I bet anything like that never happens, just a fluke. Tweenwaters- I feel that little short in my chest as well. I keep trying to figure out what the band should "feel" like. Otherwise, my recovery seems to be going well. When they told me I wouldn't be hungry, they weren't kidding!

I was banded on the 16th but was not in any shape to post until now. It was better and worse than I expected. No gas pain, but a lot of pain in the incisions. Maybe from the huge hernia they found. Anyway, it really is nothing to be afraid of, the problems I had were becuase the hospital was unorganized. Problems with my pain meds in the Recovery Room etc. To any of you coming up this month, follow all of the advice on this Board and you will be fine!!

Good luck thistledo and saleel22. I am going out today to stock up on everything I will need for the next week or two. Nervous shopping I think. I will look forward to hearing how it goes for you both. I am excited to get this going. Although the liquid diet and hasn;t bothered me that much. Sara

Pike- I am having surgery on the 14th at Harper. Who is your surgeon? I am with Dr. Nunn.

I just heard my MESSA and am 100% approved! SO, moving forward for 1/14. Luckily I anticipated this and started my liquid diet already so I get the full 2 weeks. Anyway, I am in Brighton, Michigan. I see a lot of fellow Michiganders here. Cheers!

I am local....only about a half hour my house. I give a lot of credit for anyone doing this out of state or out of the country- an extra level of planning!!

Thanks! I should know next week what my exact date is. I sitll hope for the 2nd as my husband is off work that week, and we can send the kids to my Mom's house for a few days. I am excited to get going!!

My date was set for January 14th. My surgeon is trying to squeeze me in for January 2nd, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the earlier date.
