I will be having surgery 12/13/19 As it's getting closer, I'm getting more nervous. I will be having my surgery at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville NC. Dr. Brendan Marr is my surgeon Any tips on how to not be so nervous, so I can get some sleep lol[emoji23] [emoji16]

Surgery is 12/16! Good luck! No tips on the nervousness besides deep breaths lol my mind is wondering and I’m getting a little anxious. Ready to get this done so I can start healing, the anticipation has been bothering me a little bit lol.

We all have been there - I doubt any person here was not nervous about it - But as you see very risk free surgery and my suggestion is for you to get all your education and plans in order. Read my long post how i Screwed up being not prepared.

AJ, how and where do I find your list? I'm a newbie here. I think experience is invaluable, so if you can tell me where to look, I'd appreciate it.

You need three things

1. Protein Drinks, Vitamins and Minerals - See below my set up - Way over kill but thats how i roll

2. You will be on liquids for about 2 weeks so Bone Broth, and other liquids -

4. F#$Ck Food - Do not even bother with that right now, Learn how to make pureed and smoothies

Ok I am a chef so i went overboard but the Protein shakes are the key -

Jess, what has helped for me is not focusing on the scary parts, but reminding myself of the health gains - that if I stay this way, I am doing more damage to my health. Sometimes, there IS no real solution to the anxiety (other than valium before surgery) but trying to shift perspective can help.

Omg yes that's all I've been thinking about is this surgery

Mine is December 17! Have to be in the hospital at 6am.

I am scheduled for 12/24 - best Christmas present I've ever gotten

So many Dec 18ers in here ... mine is the 18th too! We are so close ?
