I start that stage on Wednesday. I was at Sam's tonight torturing myself in the food section, and found a pimiento cheese spread made from gouda cheese! Only 8 grams fat and no carbs. It should be perfect as soft food!

Think of it as what soft foods you’d feed a baby. Mince, eggs, oatmeal, mushed tinned fish, stewed meats. Thin out with small amounts of salt reduced stocks, watered down gravies, ...

Take it easy. What works for some may not work for you. You’ll be on solid foods before you know it.

Baby oatmeal with a touch of Splenda and a dash of cinnamon (if It doesn't irritate your tummy). Or cooked oatmeal spun in a blender or mini chopper with some milk or Water until smooth.

I've had much luck with canned chicken. The chicken has enough broth in the can that you can spin it in the blender until it's soft.

I was surprised originally by the oatmeal when it was on my Dr’s post surgical meal plan but it said to make it on milk (if tolerated) which adds extra Protein. I guess because you can only eat a couple of teaspoonfuls at a time and the fibre helps with the bms it was allowed on my plan. It still takes me four days to eat a a bowl using a sachet lol.

Same! My doc also recommended Cream of Wheat, which was yuk, but it was the only thing I tolerated. But then the tiny cups of smooth baby oatmeal were bliss.

Ok I had surgery on Jan 27 2020 so I am 3 weeks out and have lost 32 lbs  I wish I had this done sooner. Now just trying to figure out different things to eat so I am not eating the same thing over and over. I did order some stuff today from the Bariatric Store and that stuff should be here in time for my next phase. I have a goal of 50 lbs by the first of June hope that is attainable. Good luck to every one on this journey

Congratulations on 32 pounds! That is great! Are you still on restricted foods? What are you eating now?
