June 2019 challenge

Come and join the June challenge if you wish. Do as little or as much that works for you. Hopefully @GreenTealael will provide “B side questions “ if she has time.

Off we go!

Start by saying hi, surgery date (unless you are pre-op), type of surgery and state 1 or 2 goals you plan to accomplish this month. Goals don’t have to be weight or food related. Everyone is welcome to join at anytime, we are just supporting each other.00F29830-13D1-4FEC-8F32-DB270F24FB05.thumb.jpeg.0298ad8341b8c7edc3078d715d5bcdcf.jpeg

Goal # 1 - To be more forgiving of myself and try to move past some of the 'old stuff' that's coming up as a result of weight loss and then let it go... for good. Goal # 2 - Find a therapist.

B side - Mental health not good. Dealing with a child who has autism and a husband who sleeps in bed on Saturdays till 1.30pm is just too much for me right now along with trying to take care of mysel

Hello! My roux en y was 4/4/2018 and I've lost 115lbs. This month I want to get to the 160s from the 170s and get back on track with my water intake/food journaling. I'm not gaining but I've been on a plateau for about 6 weeks and it's super frustrating!

Any one out there with some good plateau busters?

6/10: Jumping jacks will likely be done - trainer session today at 5:30!

I would like to be remembered for my honesty. Someone who anyone could come to for straight-forward advice and someone who, for better or worse, never lied. Also someone who was always faithful and loyal in friendships and in relationships. And someone who cared about her community and is trying to make it a better place to live, even though it has its share of troubles.

I took a new class today, Women on Weights. ? The instructor was not playing! I am now a human noodle. I don’t think I’ll try jumping jacks just yet. I have a date with a hammock this afternoon.

I want to be remembered for being a kind, funny and honest person.

@Jonsie27 I am far from an expert, from my short lived experience cutting (and 100% tracking) my calories by 100 and increasing my exercise really helped me get things moving. Getting a Fitbit really helped me too.

1/3 of the way into June, we’ve got this! ?

Lets do it!!!!!! I've been thinking about a fitbit, maybe its time to take the plunge!

6/10:

What do i want to be remembered by?

Maybe just by family. I never aspired to celebrity but the family can make you feel like a superstar ?

I won't be having a good cry today, I don't feel the need to. I haven't cried in ages and I used to cry at the drop of a hat! It's so freeing to not feel so emotional all the time. I feel...even-keeled and content. On the other hand, I've gained 3 pounds this week due to some lax eating habits and not working out over the weekend so that KINDA makes me tear up a bit. :P

I am not a fan of #11. I don’t understand the benefit of manufacturing a feel bad day.

I didn’t realize how many of the exercises on this list are ones I have never done or never do. I have never done a burpee but I do know they can be considered punishment! I’m going to give them a whirl after my coffee.

I am going for a long walk today then hopefully see the Elton John movie later. I do miss movie popcorn, but I can live without it.

@thatch Glad you caught your 3 lb gain quickly, are you going to change things up?

Don't stress, its probably mostly water retention. I can gain 3 lbs overnight for no reason, then it goes away a few days later and I've changed literally nothing!
