Cold/ flu with bypass

What can you take for the cold and flu? I know anything with Tylenol. How about Musinex? Any suggestions are helpful. I spoke to my Dr s nurse and she said nasal spray and Tylnol. No help.

My understanding is you can take regular ole mucinex as long as it is not extended release...along with being able to take sudafed, dimetap, robitussin and some other cough meds (if you can tolerate them ) and they are not extended release and any tylenol product BUT you shoudl really follow your drs advice :)

Hope you feel better soon!

I had my surgery yesterday. I told them I took Mucinex the day before and that was fine with them. They said I can continue that after surgery as well. But I guess the antibiotics helped me and I don't need it as of now.
