  1. I am 8 months post op. I am seeing my numbers creep up. Than I drink protein shakes and yogurt for the weekend and they go back down. Is there like a pouch reset? I keep hearing people talk about this and I am not sure what that is. Frustrated but still am trying to not eat the bad stuff that is creeping back into my everyday snacking. I need help.

    ❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Day 5. My bff Steph. She has been with me through alot. 20 years. She is one of my many support groups. She tells me like it is. Starting the no junk food today. That stuff just sneaks right in. Mindless snacking. Augh!!!! But at least I see it. I am loving the posts. I saw someone the other day say something about snack check. It got me thinking. Last night I did not do yoga but I did do the treadmill last night. Incline 5% and 4mph for 5minutes. The rest at 3% 3 mph for 20 minutes. Get back on track. Have a blessed day.

    ❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

March Challenge: Days 1 and 2 Yoga. This will be a first for me. CW 211. Goal wt. for this challenge is 199. I am post op. Surgery was 7/10/18 3 words to describe myself: crafty, outdoorsy and homely 3 things in your ideal morning: being able to wake up to my hubby, a large glass of ice tea and watching the news Cant wait to move forward . Bring it on.
  6. What can you take for the cold and flu? I know anything with Tylenol. How about Musinex? Any suggestions are helpful. I spoke to my Dr s nurse and she said nasal spray and Tylnol. No help.

    July Gastric Bypass?

I had mine on July 10th. I have stalled for 2 months. I also can eat anything now. Scares me. What is a reset and how do I do it?

    July Gastric Bypass?

I had my RNY on 7/10/18. have lost 55 lbs so far. But I have noticed that because I have no restrictions, except apples, I can eat about anything. I get backed up. So I gain 1-2 lbs and than bam. Lost 3. This fluctuation and stalls get so depressing sometimes. But I move forward and look for those BAM!!! moments. I do not regret my new pouch. In fact I enjoy having more time to do crafts and not looking in the cupboard for food and snacks all the time. Great job to all those July surgery peeps. Great weight loss.!!!

    July Gastric Bypass?

I stalled at week 3 and 4. It was not good in Roberts household. I thought for sure I did something wrong and that the RNY was not working. It is typical to stall when you start to eat real food. Your body is trying to absorb because it has not had the food for so long. Than you wake up in the morning and PRAISE THE LORD. Happy dance down the hallway. YUP!! My hubby thought I was going off the deep end.

    July Gastric Bypass?

My surgery was July 10th. I am in San Diego. I have already hit he infamous 3 to 4 week stall. I started down the next slope. I am averaging about 4 to 6 ounce loss a day. Sound like not much but when the numbers keep dropping it makes a big difference. I have not done a before and after shot yet. I guess I am just waiting to see if I can see it in the mirror. People say I am the shrinking lady at work. But I am still wearing my same clothes as before the surgery. I am too afraid to go try on pants. Maybe in another 3 weeks. I am 7 weeks post op that will make it 10. It's great to read all your stories.

    Kaiser options orientation So-Cal

Yes the classes are 24 weeks. I have started them. On week 11 now. almost 1/2 way there. I figure my surgery should be around Mid July. Seems like a lifetime away.

    Any So Cal Sleevers?

You all are well on your way to your surgery dates. If not already had them. I am still at the beginning of the process, adventure. I am waiting to be enrolled in the 24 week classes that Kaiser makes you attend before even getting your surgery date. It seems so far away. but looking at your posts above, I have a new found vision of getting there.

    So Cal Sleevers

You all are well on your way. I am just at the start. I live in San Diego and am waiting to start my classes. 24 weeks of them. Seems like a long time. But I hear it goes by fast. I can't wait for my pre-op. That means it is closer. Sounds strange to be looking forward to surgery.

    Kaiser options orientation So-Cal

Hi All, I am new to this so bare with me. I have gone through my labs YAH!! I had my consult and approval from the Doctor down here at Kaiser San Diego. Had it last week 10/10. I still have not heard of when I can star the 24 weeks of classes. Impatient right now. I just want to get it started. I have read some of your stories and advice. It helps me stay focused and pointed in the right direction. To know that there are so many people out there going through or have gone through the same thing I am about to go through. Any advice is welcome.
  15. So I am new to all this.  I live in San Diego.  I have completed my blood work and had my Dr. Approval meeting.  I am now impatiently waiting for the office to call me so that I can schedule my 24 weeks of classes.  The end seems so far away.

It does feel horribly long. But...just keep your eyes on the prize, put your nose to the grinder and it will be here before you know it.

I understand, it will be here before you know it! I had a 6 month process and paid good money to one Dr only to get the surgery scheduled and find out that the hospital system she worked for was getting out of the bariatric surgery business completely. Had to find another Dr, and thankfully this Dr did not make me wait the 6 months but it was well over a year for me before I was able to have the surgery and that is fine because the results so far are better than I ever could have dreamed! Just hold on and be patient!:D
