8 days post op, protein intake?

Hello I had the sleeve done last Friday the 15th. I am 20 years old and weighed at 352 before my 3 week pre op liquid diet. I am now 303 at 8 days post op. Sounds great but it seems like it didn’t even make a dent. How much protein should I be Intaking right now? I can barely finish my 11 oz-30g of protein shake through out the day. Tips or how to be able to take more or am I okay for now?

50lbs in 4 weeks is crazy?

I’m only 5 days post op and I’ve been able to get my protein in by mixing it with Lactaid or blending some protein with ice for a frosty like treat (a table spoonful at a time I make a small amount throughout day). Drinking straight somehow became a challenge postop?

I had a hard time with the shakes after surgery as well. We are told to thin them so by the time I did that, it took forever to finish it.

I use something called Liquicel which may only be available in Canada, but anything similar will work. For a while trying to get your protein in by drinking it will help as it becomes are of your liquid as well as your protein.

Good luck! You will get there!
