Weight loss for most people doesn't happen in a straight line. Even this early on. Lose, pause, lose, pause, etc. Normal is whatever your body does and right now, it's having a major WTH moment or two

  • there are people who lose 30 lbs in the first month, but I would say after hanging out on WLS forums for the last 4 years that a majority of us don't. 15-25 lbs the first month seems a lot more commo

  • Thank u n yes u r right Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app

Have faith, don't stress, work your surgery and your doc's or RD's plan and do your part. Log and track everything. Make sure you are drinking and staying fully hydrated.

And go fill in your profile information and set your weight loss ticker so we know how to respond to your questions.

Thank u I just don't want to fail myself ....my cousin told me I could be losing inches n I do see some difference in myself

Have confidence in your ability to do this. You have come this far... Don't give in. I used to have NO will power... It surprises me how well I'm sticking to it. Why not. To go through the liquid diet (sucked) and the surgery to sabotage yourself seems to me to be excessively silly!!!

there are people who lose 30 lbs in the first month, but I would say after hanging out on WLS forums for the last 4 years that a majority of us don't. 15-25 lbs the first month seems a lot more common (and weight loss slows down a lot after the first month or two). Eleven pounds in the first two weeks is great. I lost 16 lbs the entire first MONTH, and I've lost over 200 lbs. Just follow your plan and the weight will come off. Also - do a search for the three week stall - many of us have our first stall at about the three week point - you may be getting into that.
