Incisions leaking

Did anyone’s incision sites leak? One of mine has a clear yellowish fluid coming out. It’s not hot, painful or foul smelling so I know it’s not infected. It’s just leaking a lot.

I recommend you contact your surgeon first thing in the morning.

Yes, I had it. It's clear serous fluid. I was talk to your surgeon. My incision healed over and then I had a seroma pocket form. My incision had to be opened back up so the fluid could drain. My surgeon showed me how to pack the incision with gauze so the seroma could be able to drain.

Oh wow, but I am glad you are better now. They always say don't sweat the small stuff and stay happy for the Big ones. ???

Very normal, You only need to contact your doctor if it gets painful, swollen and/or hot (or if you get a fever). Some folks get JP drains installed to deal with this, some don't. But it is normal and as long as it's not bleeding fresh blood, is green, really smelly or hot/painful/swollen... then you are healing up as expected.

Wound suppuration. NBD. ^^^^ this a million times...Matt is so schmart!!!

It’s not infected. Just leaking a lot. Talked to a nurse at my program today who said not to worry even though I’m soaking through several layers of glaze in less than an hour. Hopefully it will stop soon.
