It certainly can. The lack of solid matter intake will do that to some folks.

I'm on day 2 of my liquid diet, i'm good so far as far as that issue goes. Just hangry.

If it does, you can add some salt to your diet to help mitigate it.

Liquid goes in, sometimes liquid comes out

And sometimes nothing does, I would prefer liquid out, really would.

For me it was lots of diarrhea - yuk

Same...I definitely had some loosey goosey during my pre op diet

Pre op and Post op liquid diet had that affect on me as well. It wasn't an issue of "oh **** gotta run to the can" but when I visited it, it was very similar to how it went in.

Post op 5 days. Diarrhea and a little cough from the tubes don't mix well!!

Yes it caused it for me. Of course now I'm constipated and would gladly welcome some loose stools.
