How often are you drinking a shake?

So just wondering how often you drink protein shakes? How many a day? How far out are you? Do you use them as meal replacements or just to supplement?

I drink between 1 and 2 a day. I've been trying to get more protein from food so I can cut out the second but it's rough.

I'm three and a half weeks post-op and I typically drink one 8 oz shake a day (for breakfast) and supplement the rest with food (I'm on soft solids stage). Occasionally, I'll add a shake (or even just half of one) in the evening if I haven't done so well at getting my protein in that day.

I'm supplementing 4fl oz in coffee as a creamer in the mornings. And i'm getting 60g protein/day--around 500 cals.

I'm 2 months out and having 1 each day as a meal replacement xx

3.5 months out, still drinking a shake for breakfast 99% of the time. My stomach is just not awake that early. I could wake up an hour earlier to prep and cook and tell my stomach it needs real food, but that’d be 4:30am so no thx :P not yet at least.

I don't really drink shakes. My surgeon wants me to rely on actual food sources and not protein shakes.

I'm going on 11 months post op, though.

I make shakes as breakfast a few days a week as I don't have time to sit down and eat something with getting myself and my high school daughter out of the house on time. On days I work out hard (e.g. I fence where I can burn 800-1000 calories in 2-3 hours) I will use one as a supplement for muscle recovery. My team is fine with using the occasional shake but given my physical training regimen, I need to be up near 100 grams of protein a day. I just physically can't do that on food alone - it's more food than I can consume. So the occasional shake and bar happen.
