I guess I'm lucky...since my surgery 5 weeks ago, I have no appetite and no hunger..Once in a while I think I'm hungry, but then I eat a couple bites and I'm like, "yeah, I'm good."

My nurse said its because of the liquids. I guess when we get to phase 3 we should get that full feeling.

Haha I feel the same way. And the cravings come from the lack of fullness.

That is exactly my problem. .I think because I have never experienced the full sensation so I'm always snacking. ..so how do we fix this

The gnawing feeling an empty stomach full of acid produces feels a lot like hunger.

You need to make sure that you are following your plan. It does get better once you are back on solid foods. I was never that hungry at first, but by about 4 weeks post-op my hunger returned. Just make sure you stay away from slider junk food. Those types of foods will not help you achieve your weight loss goals.

If you must snack make sure it is healthy. A certain amount of will power is necessary to make the right choices. You can do this. It is all about staying motivated to change.

Maybe it’s just habit you have to break and retrain your mind?

I watched a video from a weight loss doctor and he said feelings of hunger are always about needing an antacid. That cures it apparently and he puts people on it for a few weeks at a time if that starts happening. Hope that helps.
