Officially post op now!

Hey everyone, I'm officially post op!!! Surgery went well, they've had a little difficulty trying to get my pain under control, but other than that it's been good. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank all of you for the support over the last 10 months. You rock!

  • Yeah thanks guys. In the 12 hours since the original post, things have improved. Still in the hospital, but pain is under control. Feeling stronger. Up and walking. Taking my tiny sips of water. Sent

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Glad everything went well. I am a newbie on the threads an they have really helped me out. I have 7 days to go before my surgery date an these threads help calm my nerves and ensure me that all will go just fine.

Congrats!!! Im 5 days out. Each day gets a tiny bit better. Ive been plagued by a dull headache the last few days. Either its caffeine withdrawl, or i need to increase my water. I used to slam water bottles preop. Now it is taking me hours to get halfway thru one.

congratulations! ?

So I'm home and everything is good. I'm a little concerned though, I can pretty much drink all the liquids I want without issue. My biggest, deepest, darkest fear was going through all this effort and the sleeve not working. Maybe it'll be different once I start real food

I was the same way.
I could chug water without any issue the day after surgery.
I was convinced my doctor made my sleeve too big.
The entire time I was on liquids I felt like my sleeve was too big.
Now that I am on soft foods, I am sure my sleeve is not too big.
