  1. So I'm one week post op and I'm trying to think of all of the food that would be good to eat after I'm completely healed. I like eating refried beans with shredded cheese on top I know that sounds weird. But I felt like there is high protein with that and maybe that's a good thing to eat once I'm healed. To the people that are already healed up and eating normally, what does your eating look like now?
  2. Thank you Temkins. I agree on the walking lol I am healing up right along side you:) I wish you a speedy recovery:)
  3. Hi Timarland, My doctor required a 10 day pre op diet. I truthfully Only did it about five days. I only have about 50 pounds to lose. I lost over 100 lbs with the lapband years ago and kept it off. But in an extremely unhealthy way. I had not been able to get water down for years but I could drink soda. I ate lots of chips and queso and other fatty foods. I couldn't get vegetables down. Sometimes I couldn't even get my own saliva down.:( Even though I'm only on post op day 4 I feel I have had more protein and water than I ever have with the band. I'm a newbie with the sleeve but so far I like it. I think you will too.:)
  4. I had surgery Tuesday oct 3rd. The first few days I showed no weight loss. I just weighed myself today which is day 4 post op and I have lost 6 lbs. I guess we should not weigh ourselves every day.:) How is everyone else's weight loss?
  5. Ad you still losing? I see this was awhile ago:)
  6. Hi Timarland, I totally understand where you are at. I had the lapband for 14.5 years until my revision this week. I was surprised how short the stay was in the hospital. I checked in at 9:30 am on Tuesday and surgery was at 11:30 am. I stayed one night and the let me go home at 7:30 am the next day. It has been so different from the lapband and so far I love it.:)
  7. Anyone have a few tablespoons of sugar free cool whip post op? I'm craving something sweet but I'm being really really good.:)
  8. Doreen , thank you for your response. I'm glad you're doing good :-) I bought some of the proti-Vlc Products for my doctors office and I really like their protein that you can put in water that's fruit flavored:) have you tried that or is there a different kind you like?
  9. When I have more time I will respond to this better. I have PCOS and got lapband 14 years ago. Then this week on October 3 rd had band to sleeve revision. But.... PCOS is terrible. I am sorry you deal with that too. I don't get periods at all but I have 4 kids from 16 years old to 5 years old. Femera was the answer for me. Anyway I'm healing so I'm a bit groggy but I will try and get back to you as soon as I get a little better.:)
  10. Hi friends, i got band to sleeve revision on Tuesday October 3rd. Just curious how far post op you guys are and what your eating is like now??
  11. So far so good:) I would like to have more than just clear liquids though LOL
  12. Thank you friends ❤️
  13. Hi, I had surgery yesterday and have to be on clear liquids for 3 days. Then I can have proteins after the 3rd day. Anyone drink their creamy protein the day after surgery? surprisingly I am missing the protein! Lol
  14. My band to sleeve revision is this coming Tuesday. I'm scared and excited. But the scared part of me is taking over. Anyone else really nervous?
  15. My surgeon said if the scar tissue is bad they will do the removal and revision in 2 surgeries 3 months apart. If not it's one surgery ?
  16. I'm on the same journey. I had my lapband 14 years ago and 4 children from then on. I maintained weight at 125 for over a decade. But scar tissue and acid reflux problems caused me to get my band emptied in June and I have gained 33 lbs since June:( I had my endoscopy last Monday and I'm getting revision to sleeve on October 3. The rapid weight gain has been really hard and made me very depressed honestly. Keep us posted on your journey ❤️
  17. This is the diet my dr is having me so for pre op revision
  18. Thank you:) I guess it's good to build up the discipline now
  19. It looks like it's going to be really hard...:/ good luck on your surgeries guys:)
  20. I start my liquid pre op diet tomorrow for an October 3 surgery date. How did you guys do ? I'm scared lol
  21. Hi All, My band has been in my body for 14.5 years. I have been having some severe problems with it for many years now. Our insurance has a no weight-loss surgery restriction. So we got care credit for $7500 and my husband cashed a chunk of his retirement out to pay for the rest.:( My band to sleep for vision is October 3 My husband is naturally skinny and so is his family. I just feel so much guilt because we have four children and really can't afford this. My husband keeps saying not to feel guilty and that my health is most important. But I still do. Is anyone else in the same boat?
