I’m scheduled December 19th so I’ll only have to miss one day of work. I’m nervous but I’m thankful. It’s been a long road to where I am and I cannot wait to start my new journey healthier and happier

Next Tuesday, Dec 5th is my surgery date. I've not done very good on pre-op diet. I'm on a liquid diet starting tomorrow. I had an original surgery date of Nov. 7th. My hubby is not on board with me and he's severely overweight. I have to do this myself but I would love to see him do the diet as he has lots of health problems. Would appreciate a buddy to support each other cause I cannot count on him. Had lap band 6 years ago and it was great but I had a tough time after a year. Since then, I'm taking so much RX meds now. Diabetes, high blood pressure and a cpap machine. Never had any of that just 2 years ago.

Anyone else on here having surgery next week?

I'm having mine on Tuesday, Dec 5th too. I'm on my 2 week liquid diet now and it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Started it last Tuesday, Nov 21st. Already lost some weight, feeling really good about it. You just hang in there, you will do great...:)

I just started my 2 week liquid diet today - I hope I handle it as well as you have!

I just found this forum today -- so excited to have found it -- so many success stories and supportive people.Hi everyone!! :)

I have a tentative sleeve date of 12/7 provided insurance approval comes through in time. I'm a little concerned though as I see so many people talking about starting their liquid diet pre-surgery...I guess every surgeon is different as my surgeon is not requiring that?

Anyone else for 12/7?

I'm gettling sleeved on 12/6 and I have to do a 12 day 1200 calorie diet & 2 day liquid. Each surgeon thinks differently is my guess. I've lost 9 pounds since last Wednesday on it, so I'm feeling good that my liver is getting shrunk.

Good luck to you! Keep in touch!

Hey @Jeannie49 I have 12/7 as well!!! I do have the liquid diet for two weeks. But everything is going great! Hope your insurance gives you approval asap!! Good luck!

I’m scheduled for Dec 4th and cannot wait to get healthier!

On my way to my pre op visit with my doctor. Surgery is in 2 weeks. So excited.

I’m scheduled for 12/18! Yikes!

Congrats!!! I'm scheduled for 12/18 as well. I'm super nervous and trying to stop the negative thoughts from keeping positive. The closer it gets the more worried i get. Overall, we'll do great. Good luck to you.

December 18! Wow me too! Im hitting the " this is really happening phase" one week before my liquid diet fast. I'm trying to focus on all the benefits that surgery will do. I'm diabetic with retinal bleeds and at risk of losing my sight. ( not good ). So here's to Dec 18. I hope to chat again.

I got my insurance verification back and I was approved but it said I was approved for a roux en y bypass not a sleeve. I really wanted to get a sleeve because I just thought it would be a better fit for me. I'm a bit disappointed. I am talking to my doctor soon so I will see what happened.

Newbie and in need of sleeve friends
First appt was 09/26 with my surgeon and then had my second one on 10/31 to go over my results from tests and then they let me choose an opening for surgery in Dec. which I chose 12/27. So all together, about 3 months (up to surgery).

Same date as m congratulations

I'm December 27th. My husband has off that week, so I will be flying from Philadelphia to San Diego on my clear fluid diet, on Christmas Day  - dreading that part, lol, but it was my choice.
Definitely though, just talk with them and go with your gut - while you still have one ~ haha! Let me know how it goes, & good luck! Maybe we'll end up down there at the same time [emoji4]

Congratulations same day as me I’m excited and nervous [emoji45]
