Confused

Hi....tomorrow I'm one week post op and I don't think I have lost much weight. Everyday my intake of the liquid diet get better and a little more. I'm I doing something wrong? I'm so scared of messing the surgery up. I'm not hungry but I slip water and protein shake throughout the day. What else should I do that I may not be doing?

If you have the energy, how much are you moving?

Sounds like you're doing just fine to me.

Good luck!

Good luck!

Energy Level has been fine. I walk around my house throughout the day.

Thanks for your support.

I've read over and over that you should not even weigh yourself right after surgery--you retain water and are swollen and so on, so won't see immediate loss--you may even gain some weight initially. Just keep on with the plan and it will work!

You get pumped full of fluids in the hospital so you may not see a lot of loss right away. Sounds like you are doing just fine. Stick to your personal plan and everything will be fine.

Don't rush your body, it's still in shock, swollen, retaining fluids so it can heal. It's doing it's thing. Give yourself some time. And don't step on that scale for a month.
