The past week I've been cooking for my kids again and it's not so bad anymore for me I just slightly may taste the sauces or broth to make sure it's not over seasoned

I have been cooking for my family all along because I am the only one who cooks and I have to say, it really was hard at first! I would actually get all grumpy, especially if I was hungry myself...almost like a little panicky. But now that I recognize how I was feeling, I make sure to eat a little something before or while cooking. I don't cook on an empty stomach if it's food I won't be eating!

Same.. I have learned not to cook hungry always feed yourself first. I have noticed that I am cooking more healthier for them as well.

I was doing take out, frozen pizza, tv dinners etc. And I knew I had to make changes ASAP and the slow cooker meals are awesome

Tasting less than a teaspoon of a sauce or a bite of something to make sure seasoning is right isn't a problem. I've been cooking for my family since post-op day 8. (My hubby grilled for the kids the first few days and I gave him some slow cooker set ups for the other days.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks it's been good so far and I'm just thankful I didn't go into a bad spell where I didn't want to do anything cause I know there's some that lose focus

I cooked every day starting 2 days after I got back home and it didn't bother me. I even brought home wings so my son could enjoy them while I drank a Protein shake..... it Is just mind over matter and just because I can't eat doesn't mean I shouldn't cook for him. But I can understand we are all different

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
