  3. It's all about your health my dear. You only get one life to live and someone being selfish enough to stop you from making a better choice for your own standard of living is not someone you should want in your corner. May 8th is a very lucky day, that was when I had mine last year. Good luck on your journey and remember this is about you.

  7. I had many reasons, but the only one that mattered was that I needed to do it for me. You see I had a lot of insecurities. An ex husband that said he did not want to be married to a fat person. Seeing family at a funeral and they all said I look like my grandma. She was short and obese as well. Couldn't walk without being out of breath, constant back aches, Pre diabetic and geez the most embarrassing was constantly wearing out the crotch of my jeans, because ya know them thick thighs... etc. Finally I decided that I am only in my early 40's. With both my children grown, I can do better than this. Its time for a change. This has been the single most important and best decision I have ever made. I am making progress, working toward being the best me I can be.

  9. I use the Fitbit Aria.. Its sleek and I love how it sends my measurements via wifi directly to my phone apps and I can keep track of the progress without writing it down.
  10. Way to go! I love that black butler shirt your wearing.

  12. I have similar issues but mine is not related to this particular surgery. I have adhesions on my right side from a prior hysterectomy in 2007 and when they stick... lord it really does feel worse than child birth. It lasts for a week or so. Constipation is a trigger. I used to take Aleve and that would quickly take care of the pain, but now since we cannot have NSAIDS I have to take Tylenol as soon as I feel it coming on. The pain radiates down my right leg. I have had every single test and they all came up with nothing. Having another surgery to remove the adhesions is out of the question since it can create more and I refuse to take anything stronger than over the counter meds, so I just deal with the pain best I can until it passes and then I am all good again.
  13. Ditto... the best advice out there Bryan. Stay true to your course and keep only the ones who are willing to walk the path with you.

  17. Everything went surprisingly well. I went by myself to Tijuana. I had a great time, was never in any pain. The staff was great they walked with me and made sure that I was okay the entire time. I am 7 weeks out now and lost 41 lbs so far. I would highly recommend Dr. Illan.

  19. I date sporadically, but figured I would wait a year, heal and then finally put myself out there. I feel like you really do need to be friends with the person you potentially get with or at least have some of the same interests.
  20. I weigh myself everyday. I have the Aria too its fun to watch the graphs and data as it does wirelessly upload into several applications. I don't worry if it goes up or down or stalls it gives me an idea of what foods I need to avoid that might be causing trouble for me. I am only 4 weeks out at this point so adding food weekly I am trying to be cautious about triggers.
  21. Same I started eating them about a week after. I only had one or two a week though.

  23. Same.. I have learned not to cook hungry always feed yourself first. I have noticed that I am cooking more healthier for them as well.
