Travel after sleeve surgery

Hi,

I am scheduled for my surgery on 4/10. I have a business meeting scheduled in NOLA 5/15, just wondering if anyone flew that soon after their surgery.

Thanks

I flew three days after sleeve surgery. It was pretty rough because the flight was bumpy but I imagine a month later you should perfectly be fine.

I travel a lot for work and my surgeon advised 4 weeks of no flying. He said I could do it at 3, but 4 weeks is the time most risk of complications have passed. Your timing looks just about right.

I flew 4 hours to get to and from surgery. Surgery on Thursday morning, and was cleared to fly home Sunday.

my surgeon has a 6 week ban on air travel after surgery. i'd check in with your doc.

I flew home 5 hour flight 4 days after surgery.

I recommend medical grade compression socks for the flight.
