November 15, 20169 yr I'd love to go back sooner, but my job is really physically demanding. I make guns, and the motions of pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and standing on my feet for 12 hours made my surgeon want to keep me out until I'm completely healed.

November 16, 20169 yr I'm hoping to just be out 2 weeks but am worried about driving and the long commute. I do have the option of working from home if I feel up to it so that would help me to not use all of my sick and vacation time. My surgeon said he would write me out as long as I wanted! But he said he expected me to need 3 weeks. I have a desk job.
November 22, 20169 yr Going to ask my surgeon at my next visit. I don't have a demanding job, but my commute is killer. I might get 2 weeks. We'll see.
