If we can barely eat or drink after surgery how are we going to reach Protein goals? We would have to consume around 32 ounces of protein shake to get the right protein. At one oz at a time how is that possible.

I scoop of nectar protein has 23 grams of protein. In the beginning I mixed 1 scoop with 4 ounces of Water. That was considered Clear liquids for the first stage of recovery. 3 shakes would give me 69 grams of protein. The 4th shake is a bonus amount. That also counts as your Fluid intake. That's a total of 12 oz with all protein requirements. Or drinking 4 shakes gives me 16 oz of fluids with 92 grams of protein.

3 premier Protein shakes is 90 grams of protein and 33 oz of Fluid.

I just stayed with it all day (same with fluids). Getting in Protein and fluids really is a full-time job. At Day 25 post-op, it is still a full-time job, but it gets easier every day. (Now the challenge is getting all the fluids in and accounting for the 30 minutes before and after any kind of solid food.)
