MSer07 reacted to Chicadee in TMI- VERY heavy period... normal?
My first period right after surgery was horrible. So much bleeding and it went on for like 2 weeks heavy. Then I didn't get it at all for three months and the GYN put me on premarin and provera and I finally got it, that was pretty normal. I just got it again a third time since surgery and it is pretty heavy but not like the first time. I have to say losing that much blood was scary. I would definitely check in with your doctor if it persists or you have pain.

i used to have that pre-op, because i have pcos. i know how terrifying it can be to see that muh blood. have u missed any periods prior to this? my dr. advised me it could be a buid up of things that werent flushed out during the previous months of missed periods but i would check with your gyno or surgeon to see what their experience is with it.

I love seeing the progress people have made after surgery. So for those comfortable enough to share them I'd love to see your before and after (and even progress) pics. I haven't had surgery yet (and wont for at least another 3mths) so I don't have any to post but I still like seeing what I have to look forward to. The pic below is me at my highest of 316lbs 2hrs after my son was born.

I am lucky I live at home with my parents, my mum does all my washing of clothes, ironing them etc, does all my cooking, so I can come home and flop on the couch and not move lol. Fatigue was shocking the first year or two, I am better with that symptom now, and just know that I probably won't be doing much on my days off.

I'm having b12 injections, much easier for me & less often so winner winner lol. Just a jab at the docs every 3 months. I take Vitamin d daily & a multi vitamin, but nothing else. I took a few months off post surgery, but that's because I had surgery then 6 weeks later I had Lemtrada 2nd year dose, and my job is very physical with some heavy lifting. Then the week before I was due back, I tripped over while out walking & fractured both wrists

I have MS and my surgery date is Oct. 3rd. My doc said I should be good to go since neuro cleared me. I'm on tons of nerve meds but he said those will be fine too. Both of you CONGRATS and Good Luck With Your Surgery

I have MS. I'm scheduled for the end of September. My Neuro cleared me. As long as you aren't in an active flare and depending on what stage of MS you have you should be fine.
