So far it was much easier than expected! After I had band in 2009 I had horrific gas pains for hours post op and port site with band felt like I had been stabbed. Today I was pretty specific about my gas from past () and asked politely if they spend extra minute to remove as much as possible at end of surgery. Anyway, it was not too bad at all! Surgery took only 1 hour and I spent 2 hours in Post op. They brought me to my room and I got up right away to use bathroom. Since then I've walked 4 times and gotten 1 dose of pain meds. I've drank warm chicken broth, Jello and water! No nausea!! Only 1 dose of pain meds since leaving recovery! Wearing an abdominal binder which is very helpful. Hope to go home tomorrow! Hope this helps a pre-opper?!
