How to Prevent Constipation?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well on their journey. I was sleeved on 10/03/16 and was wondering what are some of the things you do to prevent constipation..? I had to pass a very hard stool (sorry tmi I know) and I would like to never, ever go through that again! Please, any advice you can share is helpful [emoji4]

  • I just started my soft foods diet and for the first two days I took Miralax to help make sure I dont get constipated like I was right after my surgery.

I had to go and buy some stool softeners. Because I am with you cuteNATL. I know it is because I am not eating any Fiber. If it is something other than liquid then I am making darn sure it is a meat with a lot of Protein. Maybe when I am passed the soft food stage it will be easier to fit the veggies in to my diet. I love veggies. I think I need to get some metamucil or fiber con. Something like that. I would love to hear what others of you have tried that have worked well.

If you don't mind me asking @@M579 how often do you take the stool softeners? I guess I need to go back through my information and see when I can add some fiber in my diet! But I'm sure it's not for a while[emoji22]

I just took them today. so not even sure they worked yet. LOL Had your same issue yesterday.

I use Benefiber daily. I keep our in those little formula containers with the dividers. I also take coalace daily. If I don't, I am miserable.
