Migraines

Hi...I'm new. I'm just starting my WLS journey. I'm wondering if anyone has had experiences with migraines pre-surgery. Did they decrease after surgery? Were they a factor in getting approved?

I started my 2 week WLS Monday. First 3 days my head killed me. I was clammy but felt hot at the same time. It passed though. I have 8 days left.

I'm wondering this same thing. I am a migraine sufferer and my surgery date is November 30th. I'm anxious to see if I will get less migraines after surgery.

I have done liquid fast before and I can assure you ladies it will pass. Your bodies are basically detoxing so you will have the headaches. It's just your body getting adjusted.

I wish you ladies the best! I'm still trying to get my insurance BCBS of Michigan to say "give her a date please"....my BMI is at 39.1 but I have other medical issues that my body is not responding to the weight well.

I've had only one bad headache since surgery 12 days ago that was the first day in the hospital

I had severe migraines before surgery. I was averaging about 6 a week even with medication. Now I am 11 months post op, and until recently, I hadn't had any at all. This last couple of weeks though I've had 3-4 cluster migraines. I have lupus though so it might be different for normal folks, but for me, generally they did decrease.
