Protein shake

Hey guys! So today I started my Protein shakes. This morning I tried a whey protein. Hated it got nauseas! In the afternoon i tried muscle milk, but just after i drank it started sweating. At least no nausea only reflux.

I ordered the premium protein online its supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Please what have you gone through?

I like the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury brand Protein powder. chocolate is the best and they also have a chocolate version made with Splenda if you prefer the taste of that sweetener as opposed to aspartame. It's also "Medical quality protein", and this is our health we are talking about, so I don't want to sacrifice quality for taste. As an added bonus, the company is really nice to deal with. Look them up online and call them to place an order for sample packets and they'll send you a bunch of extra.

Agreed. My surgeon requires Unjury for pre op liquid diet. Chocolate is good with skim milk. The plain is good in cold decaf coffee--almost tastes like a brand name coffee drink. The strawberry sorbet is okay. I will order more Unjury for post op next week.

EAS protein from Walmart approved by my surgeon. I added Almond milk low calorie, and almost no calorie Hershey's unsweetened cocoa, and a Stevia. crystal Light, SF pudding, Torani SF syrups, choose your flavors!

Premier Protein is the best. You can get it at costco, Walgreens, Cvs, check your local grocery store as well. Tryed all others. The others made me sick as well

BariatricChoice.com sells some really good Protein shakes + a strawberry banana Gelatin that has 15 grams of protein. I also get the concentrate drinks pouches to add to my Water at 15 grams of protein. I needed variety and I do have it. I read the reviews and picked what sounded palatable to me and I am happy so far.

Thank you for the information :)

I can't help with taste because I have yet to try any. But I thought I would add that my nut requests that any Protein shake source be whey protein. He gave several examples of brands, so don't give up on whey protein just yet, especially if your doc/nut reccomends whey protein sources like mine does.

We talked about this last night at a support meeting. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury was mentioned as good as was pure Protein shakes. Hubby tried the chocolate before but didn't like it. I guess everyone is different. I'm going to try to get samples and try them before I decide which one. Thanks for letting me know a few names to try.

I have actually switched to a brand called Inspire protein. I ordered it from Bariatric eating.com I really like this brand the best and at almost two and half years post op I have tried SO many!! These are really low carbs, low calories, high protein and the flavors are mild. Most important for me is they don't make me nauseated or cause a quick dash to the bathroom.
