Revision after Pregnancy

Hi Everyone!

I had a healthy babygirl in October. I have been breastfeeding and I have gained so much weight POST PARTUM. During my pregnancy I only gained 11 pounds (baby was nearly 6) so really only 5 pounds I was back to prepregnancy weight 5 days after being discharged from the hospiatal. I have since gained 15 pounds. My question is has anyone had a sleeve revision post partum? I am looking for real expectiations before I make an appointment with a surgeon. I am near the end of my breastfeeding journey (not by choice).

Congratulations! You've only gained 15-20 pds. Have you considered going back to the pre-op diet for a while? Perhaps that will help.

Good luck!

Same boat here as well. my daughter is about to turn 1 this month. I was 150 pre pregnancy gained 42 lbs and she was 6.5 lbs (go figure) , I am still hovering near 166 a year post partum. I feel hardly and restriction at all!

I had my son in June of 3014 and I feel like I have no restriction at this point. I went from 147lbs to 222lbs and I'm sitting at 186lbs for about a year now. Any advice?

My baby girl will be 1 this Friday and I gained 30 baby was 7lbs 7oz but by 1 month postpartum I was down to my pre pregnancy weight. I have since put on 10lbs and I'm in the process of getting my revision approved. I too am at the end of my breastfeeding journey and not by choice either.

You can look up the 5 day pouch reset basically you go on the liquids again go rest your pouch and shrink it again if you feel it has gotten bigger

I am opposite. Had the sleeve 3 years ago. Just had a baby and have lost all my pregnancy weight in 5 weeks(30 pounds). I can't eat solids at all absolutely liquids even hurt. Wasn't this way during pregnancy just after. I'm wondering if my pregnant hurt my sleeve. Trying to get ahold of the doctor.

The pouch reset diet is a fad diet. It does NOT shrink your pouch. It is better for your metabolism to stay away from yo-yo dieting. Instead, eat dense protein first then vegetables. Also, weigh your food, track it, minimize grazing/snacking, don't drink your calories, and stay away from processed food & artificial sweeteners.

Do you think it could be a hernia? I saw lady on yt with same issue and that's what it was.

Did everyone loose all restriction after pregnancy? Did restriction return for anyone? How was restriction during pregnancy?

I'm in the same boat! I had my lap band in 2008 when I was 16 and since have had two kids (3.5 and 7 months) since then. I'm getting the band out and the sleeve done on Tuesday! During my first pregnancy I gained 70 pounds because my dr recommend I take most of the saline out of the band. I couldn't loose it after no matter what I did. With my second I only gained 20 and have lost 15 of it. And I still plan on having more kids.

I was given some meds to help me with the milk supply gain 25lbs after having my baby she's now 8 months old I stopped taking the meds in may and stopped breastfeeding in the middle of aug. I started working out and I been able to loose 12lbs out of those 25lbs. I had the sleeve back in 2012 and I've never been on my weight goal. I just saw my surgeon on Thursday and he suggested to keep doing what I'm doing he said as longest I get full and eating how I'm supposed I don't need no revision, he just said just don't gain weight so I'm hoping I lose more lbs. I had friends that got their surgery in Mexico and they've lost tons of weight. TBH I don't want another surgery
