Fitting old clothes!

So I'm officially 1 month post-op in 4days, and it feels great! I am down 23 pounds. Today I was playing around with some of my old clothes and amazingly I could fit them pretty well. I've noticed that I'm losing inches faster than pounds: has anyone noticed that they're losing inches faster than pounds as well? Let me know what you all think.

Congratulations !! My surgery isn't until tomorrow so I can't help much, but I prefer inches over pounds any day of the week.

Good luck!

Me too! I'm down 25 lbs, but it feels like so much more because of inches lost. I am 3 weeks out and my pre surgery clothes are falling off! Luckily I saved a lot of tight clothes, and am fitting in stuff I haven't worn in years! My scale hasn't moved much this past week, but it's ok. I know changes are happening.

I've noticed I am also losing inches more than pounds which is awesome. I officially track my measurements once a month but have been sneaking waist measurements here and there and am down about 5 inches since the morning of surgery less than two weeks ago. woohoo

Wow. 5 inches in two weeks??? That's amazing! I'll take inches over pounds any day.

I used to train martial arts and weight training-- and I don't go by the scale as much as I do how I look and how clothes fit. When training, I weighed 168 but LOOKED like I weighed 140.

So don't put a lot of focus on the scales. How your clothes fit will tell all.

Congrats !!!

I can't wait to have the inches falling off.

I too am losing inches and wearing clothes that were too small before. Haven't taken measurements so I will continue to enjoy the clothes to help measure my success. Prefer to scale anyday.

You know what I can't wait for? Not having clothes in your closet you know for a fact you will never fit into again because it's way too big!!! Congrats on your weight loss!! Keep up the good work.
