July 6, 201610 yr How soon post-op did folks resume regular sexual activity - specifically, intercourse? I find my constitution is a bit unpredictable day to day and too much err.. movement.. can bring on nausea.
July 6, 201610 yr my doctor told me as soon as I wanted to. so, if nausea makes you not want to - then wait a while. or look for a time of day when you are not feeling the nausea. or you may find that you and your partner prefer gentle rather than vigorous for a little while and that's fine, because it's all good, eh?
July 6, 201610 yr My incision sites hurt for several weeks so me and my gf had to enjoy low impact closeness at first. I'm a month out now and I'm finally feeling back to normal. I had a little longer recovery though since I had my lap band removed before I had the sleeve.
July 7, 201610 yr Popular Post Omg I'm sick of waiting but I can't even sleep on my side without pain let alone be on all 4's lmao
July 7, 201610 yr Popular Post After one week I was having sex. Gentle and slow, but still good. Two weeks out and I'm good. My sex drive feels like it's increased as well with this surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

July 8, 201610 yr It was two weeks for me. I wasn't worried about the pain, I didn't hurt much. I didn't have enough energy. That's what made me wait. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
July 8, 201610 yr I think it was after 3 days. Nothing too strenuous and we were careful not to hurt my incisions. It was suggested to go for it when I felt ready or wait at least 2 weeks to be on the safe side. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App
July 8, 201610 yr Yeah, pretty much what everyone else is saying. Very carefully after 4 days, then back to normal after about 2 weeks. We're depriving out bodies of food. I draw the line at sex.

July 8, 201610 yr I wanted to give it a go just outa the recovery room. My surgeon had three med student interns with him.....one of them was drop dead gorgeous. I was smitten when I said something goofy and she smiled and laughed. I gave it a few days before a test run. Wasn't able to maneuver so well due to the abdominal hernia that was repaired during the VSG. If memory serves me correctly I was able to kick off the training wheels after two weeks and enjoy things.
