SEARCHING!

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping I can get some recommendations for Protein bars. I have 2 that I have consistently eaten in the year since my surgery, but they are not really what I'm looking for. I think they are too high in fat and carbs. I have read so many labels that my eyes get blurry! I have plenty of drinks where I can get my protein from, so that is not my #1 factor in the search. It's just when I want a treat, I really love my bars. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Cassie

Everyone has different bars they like. So you have to find one for your tastes.

These are my favroites. Best tasting with the best macros.

Runner up for taste

I have those on days I am running low on calories but I am good on Protein. The fit elite versions, with the lower calories suck.

I will offer an alternative to Protein Bars. Protein brownies, you can buy them ready made or get the mix and make them yourself. I suggest getting the mix and making them yourself because you can really play with the flavors and the fresh baked at home brownies taste better than the pre-made but the pre-made are good also. They aren't like brownies though really in texture. They are more like dense pound cake. They are filling as a dense protein and really delicious. I found these from following a fellow sleever on IG.

I really like the Oh Yeah One bar- Almond Bliss. It reminds me of an Almond Joy.

The Oh Yeah! One bars are awesome... Birthday cake and Lemon Cake are my favorite... They're really starting to stomp the competition (mainly Quest). Quest bars tend to feel very heavy in my stomach after I eat (almost makes me feel like I've over eaten). The Oh Yeah! One bars don't sit so heavily in my stomach.

I am stuck on my Pure Protein strawberry and Quest coconut cashew and strawberry cheesecake. I do agree though, Quest is a little heavy on my stomach too...so I half them between morning and late afternoon.

Thank you friends for the ideas. I do love Quest bars, but I think 170 calories (60 coming from fat, which I'm not supposed to go over 35). Carbs are a bit high too. One I have been eating the whole year are Pure Protein, and someone mentioned strawberry.....I wish I could find those, for something different from chocolate.Where so you find them?

@@Cassie111, I usually find the strawberry Pure Protein bars in most of our grocery stores(Rosaures, Kroger, Super1) and Walmart. Sometimes Walmart sells them by the box or individually.
