I made chili before surgery and froze it in small portions- it sure does hit the spot! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

There's 15g of protein in their small chili..I'm not sure how much a small Wendy's chili is-- as in how many ounces a serving is.. but 15g of protein sounds like a great option!

At my one month follow-up I was approved for regular cooked foods as tolerated. There is a Wendy's next door to the bariatric clinic, so I stopped there for lunch. A small chili with cheese lasted me four days.

Sound great will have to try it tomorrow :)

I was on Panera (Bread Co) Turkey chilli about 6 weeks post surgery. I tried to avoid beef for the first 6 months per my surgeon's plan. If your plan calls for you to avoid beef until a certain time period, then I would strongly suggest following those guidelines. However, because all surgeon's have different meal plans, if they claim that you can go the chilli route with beef then gfi.

I get it in the winter a lot. Especially if I'm running errands during my lunch hour. Can't beat a $2 meal

I am over a year post-op and starting to eat more salads. I tried a half size of their new Mediterranean Chicken power salad and it was quite tasty.

many people recommend it, and it is very tasty. Still trying to perfect the copycat recipe at home

If you perfect it will you please share the secret? I for one will try to make it. I know recipes exist out there but I would rather use the recipe from someone who actually makes it and gives it the taste test. :)
