It's not "like that" for most people. I have felt great ever since my surgery. Maybe you are actually sick? Cold? Flu? Something temporary? Take it easy.

Glad you went back to hospital! I am also 7 weeks out with bouts of nausea and vomitting. The Anti nausea medicine made me sickeR!!! Ativan (sp?) helped me - it's an anti anxiety drug...it allowed me to get some sleep and sips of grape Gatorade! Good luck!

I haven't had to take nausea medical they gave me because I been feeling good. are they giving you fluids in the hospital and did they take blood tests to see what your lacking such as Vitamins and potassium because my hospital first gave me everything I was lacking and then they gave me for acids reflux and nausea medical at the hospital and gave me something before I ate but started me first on liquid diet when I was getting food back in

Did they tell you what was wrong. I am currently going through this now and my doctors are at a loss. The tests say everything is fine but I am in pain and can't eat or drink.

You should probably have a swallow study done. You may have a blockage or some swelling that is causing the problem. If it is swelling somewhere, that is usually easy to solve. ANY vomiting needs immediate follow up this soon after surgery. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I had that problem when I was 8 weeks after surgery (i am 11 weeks now), i started to have pain after eating solids while it was fine up to week 7th, i barely get any fluid in so I went to see my family doctor who told me it was either strictures or inflamed stomach, he increased the ppi dose for me and put me on fluids only for few days, i am feeling very well now and i can tolerate some solid foods again thank God.

I will get barium swallow test next week to see if i have stricture (i hope not).

Good luck.

thanks everyone for your concerns and prayers I feel 10 times better thank god

I had the same problem but mine was associated with bad pain. Every test came back clear and was fine but my doctor did blood work and I got pancreatitis. Which they don't know how because I don't have a gallbladder and I don't drink alcohol. Could have them test for that, if you are having pain. Mine got worse when I moved to the pureé/ solid stage.
