I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet. The first two days, I had a headache, but I think it could have been because I wasn't drinking caffeinated coffee. Today, I did not have the headache. I have been low

I'm curious as to why there are so many different "pre-op" diets. I know each doctor has their own set of "rules" and different diets. But just curious why some doctors have a patient on a two week

I'm not a big hamburger lover, but I had to get dinner for my daughter. I watched her eat every bit of that hamburger. I started have images of food pop into my mind. I try not to think about it, but it's hard. I worry less about what it will be like after the surgery. Right now, I could eat anything, but after surgery I'll get full too fast. Good luck.

My first three days were miserable, but I'm on day four and I'm doing so much better. You'll make it. I slept when I could, and I ate sugar free Jello. I feel like things got a lot easier today.

Lucky . My hunger is gone but I'm having the worst gas and keep having to go to the bathroom .

If you're really hungry, stay away from the cold stuff and try warm liquids like broth or even drink Water at room temp. It will help you to feel more satisfied. Trust me, I'm on day 8 and am becoming a pro! LOL

I'm on day 4 of my 3 week liquid diet and I go to bed and wake up with a headache. I also have low energy. Today I ate soup and watermelon because I thought I was going to pass out. My goal is to try harder and harder each day to adhere to the diet

I don't start my liquid diet until tomorrow and I already have headaches.

Liquid diet is fun. Not.

This could be from dehydration. Be sure to drink fluids before bed. Hang in there!

First day and one shake down and so far so good. My nutritionist said I could mix the Protein powder with light almond silk. I have chocolate powder and the shake doesn't taste bad at all. Not really feeling hungry yet. We'll see where we are at in two weeks.

What protein shakes are you guys using?

So, I am on Day 2 of liquid diet and I agree there are lots of diets that are tailored to the individual, the surgery, and the physician preferences. I am using 4 shakes and 2 bars along w/one banana and lots of liquids. I have option of up to 3 jello/pops, sugar free.

It is not great, but I think because i was weaning myself from caffeine slowly, at least bringing it down a lot over the last few months, I have not (yet at least) had headaches, and I have not had low energy. In fact, I feel full and like i am constantly drinking fluids and going to restroom.

I would say the hardest part was being home where there is more food around unlike at work, and TV (food is everywhere!).

It has helped to jump over to the post-op discussions, or the before/after photos and articles. The pre-op diet is important, and I went through many months of classes and health care appointments to get cleared, I can't mess up these last two weeks!

Plus, on bright side, this is better than the immediate post-surgery 1st week, right!?

I am using the Bariatric Advantage shakes. They are fine. I was surprised actually I was planning on them being really awful.

I would say that the tablet chew-able Vitamins from this brand are awful, horrible -- chalky and terrible flavor.

God bless you I thought my strawberry one was awful in the big bag but I just purchased the chocolate one from my doctor in the canister yesterday and it taste like hot cocoa so that one makes it better and I'm on day 7
