VSG July 5th, looking for buddies

Well, the big day is about 30 days out and I am getting more and more excited. Being overseas for my husbands work doesn't allow for much of an in person support group, so I am looking to find some buddies here. I know that there will be struggles and challenges and then there will be victories. I hope that I can find some buddies to share these experiences with.

thanks!

  • Hello all, If all goes well with my EGD on June 21, my surgery date will be July 5. So excited and would like to join your buddy group. Personally for me, It really helps to have others to talk to

  • I am so happy I found this website cause no one truly understands how one feels..... I am super excited I wish my surgery was today! Count on me for any support. I am only a message away!

  • Just got done with the EGD scope and l am now cleared for the sleeve. Doc says no problem with July 5 so pre-op diet starts now. Already been cutting done on eating in preparation but it is now time

Wknapp2966. I had mine on July 5 and have wondered what the heck did I do???? Today was the first day I felt a little better. I have been told this is normal. I hope so. I am struggling with my liquid goals too. I desperately want a cup of coffee but can't imagine how I would drink it. I'm to full!

I have a friend who had the sleeve done over a year ago. She keeps telling me it's worth it. I don't drink coffee but would love something with sugar!

Are you feeling air moving just from drinking sips of any liquid? I feel like I am making more air in my stomach with each sip.

mine is more like a rumbling, not air. Like my stomach is always empty.

What protien shakes are you drinking? I am finding them really really sweet.

I felt like "what the heck did I do" the first day after surgery. The second day a bit better. So i am guessing it will get better as the days keep going. I figure we see all these success stories and we just have to hang in there. We've got this.
