Buying Bras Post Surgery

So, I'm down to a size 16W, and my pre-surgery bras are starting to not work. I was wearing a 40DDD (probably should have worn a 42DDD). I'm now a 38DD, but I'm so reluctant to buy Casique or Victoria's Secret bras, knowing I'll be out of them in a few months.

Anyone have any good, inexpensive brands I should try? I checked out Maidenform, but the bands are just too flimsy. I need a solid, not stretchy band that can hold the girls up. Should I just buy some Casique bras off eBay?

  • You can also go to Macy's and if they aren't having a sale check the model numbers online. I bought lillyette bras for half the Macy's price on Amazon.

Are you sure your size is a 38DD? Have you been measured by someone good? and I don't mean at Lane Bryant. Like at a lingerie store, or Soma? Bras can make you look so much slimmer, I don't mind spe

My sister drug me into Lane Bryant and literally purchased me one. Nothing has ever pointed the correct direction and they don't make A cups big enough around. I just hate to spend money like you on something I won't be in long. We lucked out and they had my size in a B cup and my first under wire in 20 years. I only wear it when I go out of the house to keep it nice and am saving for new ones.

I will admit, I look pretty darn good in it. Lesson learned.

If you plan it right, you can get good deals at Lane Bryant on bras. I just bought 2 this past week for around $40 total and then had real women dollars to cut it down even more.
