Revision from Sleeve to Bypass

Hello,

Has anyone had success with United Health Care getting approved for a revision ? I am in the early stages of the process. Any stories you share with me ?

  • If you have proof he did it wrong, I sure would present it to him. Of course you would probably have to let him fix it.

I very recently started thinking I may have made a mistake by choosing the sleeve instead of bypass. I'm on here looking for other stories of people who thought the same thing and learn there is actually a revision where I can go the bypass route. Mine is not an insurance issue but if you know where I can get more infor about revision I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I actually found out my sleeve was done reversed. They left me more than they took. I only found out due to gallbladder surgery. I'm using Dr. Swamson in southlake tx. Good luck to you

Wow, I think your previous Doc should be paying for this surgery.

I know, I'm just so not sure how to approach that. He's pretty top dog in the game. I don't know if I want the fight.

I couldn't get UnitedHealth care to cover my revision. I had 4 surgeons, including the Mayo clinic submit documentmentation saying if I don't have the revision, my risk of esophageal cancer and stomach cancer is at 80%, they still denied me. I'm paying out of pocket.

I'm having mine next Thursday but with United Healthcare the doctor listed as a hiatal hernia repair
