They put me on a liquid diet pre op no solid foods I'm not really taking vitamins now but I know hairfinity is a good hair vitamin how ever I'd suggest speaking to ur Doctor first about what vitamins to take pre op

I too have thin hair to begin with and am concerned about hair loss post surgery...

Hairfinity is wonderful but it can be expensive.

Pre-op you can take Bariatric Advantage, a chewable tablet you take twice a day so you don't have to buy all of those other vitamin concoctions. I like simplicity, if you can afford Hairfinity get it but Biotin at you local Vitamin Shop is just as good and make sure it's 10,000 units.

My date is 2/23 & my doc put me on a 2 week liquid diet. I can have a 4 oz chicken breast or fish baked of course along with non starchy vegetables. They told me to continue taking vitamins like biotin and vitamin d so that's what I'm doing.

If you hair is thin I would suggest getting a wig. There is no shame in it and personally I would rather ware a wig for several month rather that continue at my weight. Ps there are some good wigs out there. Good luck!

I wear a wig for other medical reasons and I get mine from loris wig site, they've always been great with me.

My 2 week pre-op diet:

Week 1

All the Water, tea and sugar free drinks you want

All the chicken, beef or vegetable broth you want

Protein shakes (2 a day, Breakfast and lunch)

Sugar free Jello

Sugar free popsicles

dinner is lean, unbreaded meat on a bed of greens

Week 2

The same as week 1 but dinner is replaced with a third Protein shake.

Don't worry about hair loss. It's not permanent.
