i lost 16lbs, sleeved 8/3, 6 months yesterday

I lost 18 lbs on the liquid pre op diet. When I weighed in the nurse said "good job baby, some people weigh in 5 pounds less and I'm like c'mon you totally didn't do liquids for 10 days".

You should lose around 1 pound a day.

I am hoping for 1 pound a day. Nurse orginally told me I needed to lose 5#s, today 2 days in I lost 3#, and now says I need to lose 10 more, or I will be canceled. I think I pissed off nurse when I did not arrive 30 minutes early for an appointment

I've lost 5lbs since Tuesday.

20# 4 days away!

Its getting real.. excited and scared

I doubt they'd cancel it cause of that!!! As long as you lose at least 5# you'll be okay, but with only liquids in your body and such weight will fall off, most of mine was in the last 3 days. You got this, just stay strong! I had a coworker break down on day 4 and pig out at Applebee's lol.

I started my pre-op liquids on Tuesday. I am down 7lbs already. I can't do whey protein, so I am using vegan and it is so gross. But I choke down the three shakes a day. I never knew how much I liked and preferred beef broth to chicken. Oh and sugar free bomb pops are awesome.

I really didn't start losing till day 3-4. I lost a total of 15. If you strictly stick to the liquid diet you will lose, don't worry.

I lost 17 my first week, then another 8. I haven't weighed myself in awhile. It will be interesting to see my progress next week.

I had a rough time on this liquid diet for the first 2 days I ended up munching on something. The 3rd day isn't so bad at all so hopefully I will have some loss by next Friday. I certainly don't want my surgery cancelled, that would suck! but I'm also nervous to get 10 pounds below my original weight in such little time but we shall see. Did anyone walk or exercise during this stage to help with the weight loss?

Not proud to say, I was a miserable vegetable during my liquid diet. I got the flu on day 3 and it all went down hill from there. After day 4 is when you REALLY have to stick to only liquids! You'll lose the weight if you do it! Proteins & stay hydrated. I didn't drink a lot of protein and I think that's why my energy was so low.

It probably would be a good idea to walk some each day, you don't wanna get weak before surgery like I did.
