Water is the key for me. If I'm getting in 40+ ounces of water a day, I'm fine. Weekends though can be a struggle to get in my water and then I'm taking miralax Monday/Tuesday.

I would suggest not relying on stool softeners. Miralax and Metamucil will help the peristalsis work for you. The stool is already soft, that's the whole problem.

It will be a long time before you can trust a fart. And they will smell like death. :o

My doctor said to take eithet Miralax or Milk of Magnesia. I take either one 4 times a week. I was sleeved 22 months ago. Do not take laxatives as they can cause permanent damage after long term use.
