Caffeine

Ok, in my guide book it states that I can drink caffeine around 3-4 weeks post. I'm dying for a coke or a Coke Zero ????????. My question is, do you think it's best to dilute it?

I agree with all of the posters, as I was also told that we are to never have carbination again. I stopped drinking pop about three months before my surgery and really do not miss it, I believe it was more of a habit than anything. If you truly "need" caffiene (getting headaches), I would try tea, hot or cold.

Don't drink pop!!!!

Carbonation is awful for bands.

Plus cutting out carbonated beverages is a great tool for weight loss! I stopped drinking pop and in a month alone lost. 15 lbs.

I started back with my coffee (only one cup tho) a month post-op but I am not going to drink pop again - probably nothing carbonated. it's not good for you to begin with and I don't want to deal with any pain in my new gut.
