  1. The reason the doctor gave me antibiotics because I was throwing up.
  2. Good morning, I wanted to know if anyone know anything good for me to take to get rid of the stomach virus. I've been having it for a little over a week. Thursday, i went to the ER and was given antibiotics through an IV and was given meds to take home. I'm still feeling horrible. Any advice?
  3. How are you all dealing with constipation? I'll be 3 mos. out next week and still having problems with this.
  4. I live up 3 flights of stairs, and after surgery I had the same problem. The best advice I can give is take it easy. Take your time going up the stairs. I remember being out of breath and dizzy, and would pass out on my couch as soon I come in through the door. So, take it easy.
  5. Hi guys, I am craving orange juice so bad. Do you all dilute orange juice with Water?
  6. @luzburgos: I try to do 2 miles (hopefully will pick up to 3 miles this week) 4 to 5 days of the week. So, I'm getting in my exercise.
  7. Hi guys, I wanted to know if anyone else is dealing with this. I've lost 45 lbs. so far, but still wearing old clothes. I'm only 2 pants and shirt sizes down. A size 20 is calling my name and I'm ready to get in them, gosh dogit!
  8. Good morning, I am exactly 9 weeks post op, and I have been having issues with this since the day I left the hospital! After my surgery, I had to go to the ER because I hadn't gone to the bathroom in almost 2 weeks. That was a horrible experience . I've called my doctor's office and spoke with the nurse on this issue, but they do not want to put me on medicine and rather for me to go "naturally." The only way I can go, is by taking a suppository or milk of magnesia. This morning I felt miserable because I had to go and couldn't! I eat high fiber foods and still have problems. If anybody can give advice, please do!
  9. Good morning, I was just wondering if anyone has tried the Minute Maid Lite 5? It's sugar free and only has 5 calories. It comes in a can like a soda, but it isn't carbonated.
  10. I know you all may not drink powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein ..it's the protein I like the best, I just had a little problem with the ol' M.I.L.K. but thank God for you all suggesting I drink Fair Life lol. Anyways, here are some recipes you all might enjoy with your favorite brand of protein http://www.unjury.com/blog/category/recipes/unflavored/
  11. Thanks guys! I guess I'm a little anxious to see how much MORE I can lose, and speed up the process to get to my goal weight. And now that I sit back and think about it, 42 pounds lost is really awesome. Thanks for the encouragement ...and I'll be patient.
  12. Good morning everyone, Ok, I'm reading that so many people are losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time, e.g.: 60 lbs. in 3 months. Today I am 2 months post op, and I've only lost 40-42 lbs. I've been on this stall for maybe 2-3 weeks. I'm getting a little discouraged. Any advise?
  13. Good morning, I am trying to find out ways to mix Protein without milk because milk really doesn't agree with me. I've tried Isopure, but want something different. And I've tried mixing powder with Water ...yuck! Any suggestions? Thanks.
  14. @ccdomaika; I felt the same as you. When I went to my 3 week post op appointment, my doctor and nutritionist told me I could start solid foods but not to go crazy and get a steak and cheeseburger. Since then I've been eating fruits and I'm doing very well with fruits. Tuesday I will be 8 wks post op.
  15. What are some good protein bars? Thanks
  16. I don't know if you all know about this website but I found it pretty helpful. http://www.bariatriceating.com/
  17. Thanks everyone. I will try Water with strawberries or cucumbers. I'm just getting a little frustrated because I can taste the aspartame in all of the sugar-free drinks I am drinking and the taste is disgusting.
  18. Someone PLEASE HELP! I am having serious cravings for regular juice or a regular Powerade/Gatorade, something other than Water. This is really killing me! Help! This is a true craving that I've been dealing with for days. I don't want water with flavoring and I'm sick of lite juices. The aspartame taste is very overbearing.
  19. @Amylou: Wow, you can eat bbq sauce? I tried a little sauce on the tip of my finger and had a "dumping syndrome." My heart was beating really fast and I had to sit until everything calmed.
  20. Has anyone ever tried a turkey burger? I know I may have to eat it without the buns, but I kind of wanted something different from the Lean Cuisine I brought for lunch. My only concern is the turkey burger will be cooked on a grill. Is this a bad idea?
  21. I totally forgot about the rice! I just wanted one hand sushi roll with eel sauce. But I guess I'll have to wait. Thanks.
  22. I'm 6 weeks post op, too. And I am able to eat skins on fruits ...grapes and apples are the only fruits I've tried so far, but I make sure I chew very well.
  23. Just wondering ...when are we allowed to eat sushi?
  24. I'm almost 6 weeks post op, and don't have the urge to eat. I'm getting a little hungry but it goes away quickly.
