How long until...?

Hi! I am having the Gastric Sleeve surgery on August 12th. I will definitely ask my surgeon, but, I am wondering if I would be able to still attend a concert on the 22nd of August. Does anyone think this is too soon?

I really do not know what to expect in terms of recovery as this is my first surgery.

Thanks!

  • What kind of concert? You should be ok but you don't want to be around a bunch of pushing and shoving!

You should be fine. They should be selling Water, but you can stick some of the Protein packs that come in single serving sizes in your purse so you have something to drink that should give you a little energy. I'd say bring your own drinks and food, but generally they make you throw it out before you go in, so sneak some stuff inside the inside pocket of your purse. They almost never open all of the compartments.

Why not wait and see how you feel nearer the time. No one, even yourself can predict how you will feel 10 days out.
