No energy
It takes a while. I think 8 weeks not to mention your meds get messed up based on the absorption changes. Keep your eye on that

Sugarfree Gum?
Some sugar free gum contains Xylitol, it has been known to cause diarrhea.

Depression, Anxiety and Anger
My depression has gotten significantly worse since my surgery. I had it well managed an under control. I do suspect that my extended release meds were not being properly absorbed. It has been 7.5 weeks and I am down 40 lbs. shouldn't I be happy!

Fatigue....
I really think somewhere around 4 to 6 weeks, once you start having real food, and possibly caffeine. Be advised of any meds that you take may be absorbed differently as well

Ya boston!

Depression, Anxiety and Anger
I am challenging the function of the Wellbutrin XR, I do not think my stomach can process the meds the same, or I am pooping them out before they can work. Sorry for TMI... Why am I still miserable I just lost 35 pounds????

Any Massachusetts Sleevers?
I am from Leominster, I was sleeved at Emerson in Concord, with Dr. Lautz. 4 months from Informational Seminar to Sleeve! Love them!

Depression, Anxiety and Anger
My biggest complaint 2 days post op was, no one ever told me what mind games would happen from removing sugar from my diet! The withdrawal was terrible and made me very crabby. The next thing emotionally that happened to me was when I sat down to a beautifully prepared meal with my family and I had no emotion and could only eat 2oz of my dinner and felt no enjoyment. There are a lot of mind games here and when you suffer from severe depression you don't really need anymore mind games!

9 days sleeved.
I waited until 30 days!

Fatigue....
I had fatigue for at least 4 weeks post op! It does get better. Of course adding caffeine back helped some!

You will be fine, you will be tired!

Wine and Coffee (black drip coffee, NOT lattes, frapps, etc)
30 days post op I added coffee back! Have not had wine yet, I am 6 weeks out, but I am dying for some alcohol!
